Unique Church Logo Design And Identity

A logo identity project for the Parish of St Swithun’s based in West Sussex

Updated: 28 Jan 2019 | Category: Brand Identity | Tags: Church Logos

St Swithun’s Parish needed a new identity which needed to include three separate logo designs for the three churches in the Parish – St Swithun’s, St Barnabas and St Luke’s.

All of the new church logos needed to be identifiable as being part of the same parish, so three variations on a clear theme.

"Charlotte guided us through every step of the design process with a great deal of patience, ensuring that each step and technical terms were explained and clear. She is very efficient and turned round work far more quickly than we were expecting. She obviously gave a lot of sensitive thought to the design and was very good value for money."

The results

The church would need to produce promotional materials themselves so I made sure that I included standard font options that could be found on any Mac or PC. I kept the designs simple so they could be easily reproduced by a photocopier.

The group had requested that the new logos have the following characteristics: Fresh, Lively, Welcoming, Vibrant, Eyecatching, Faith, Trust, Love and Hope. I tried to capture these in both the design and the colour choices used.

I feel the finished designs are bright, fresh and memorable. They will work well across a range of different media and can be used large and small.

This was my first logo project for a church and I really enjoyed working with Alice and her team. If you are thinking of creating a new logo identity for your church or organisation get in touch.
