I created a first aid logo for Direct First Aid, a new first aid training course company.
Alex approached me and asked me to help her with a logo design for her new first aid training business. She had started on a basic idea but wanted it to be much more professional and appeal to a corporate audience.
"The new logo looks brilliant, thanks so much for helping us improve our initial idea."
Alex, Owner, Direct First Aid
Alex had started on a basic design for her logo but it wasn’t going to work across all the different promotional materials she might need. She was also looking to target her first aid training courses at businesses so the logo needed to be quite simple and corporate. Alex was keen to incorporate a small icon combined with the business name ‘Direct First Aid’ as it would make the logo more visually appealing. She also liked green and red for the logo colour palette.
I designed a variety of different logos experimenting with different ways of using the cross icon. I had already discussed with Alex the possibility of getting a website created for her business so it was very important to choose a typeface that was suitable for use on the web. I use Google Fonts which are great as they can be used on printed materials like logos as well as websites.
The designs were narrowed down to one through the logo development process and the final idea was refined further with some colour adjustments.
The finished design is bright, clean and professional. It will work well across social media and any printed materials.
